CROSSHAVEN AFC

In September 2019 we started constructing a new FIFA Approved 7,000m2 all weather facility for Crosshaven AFC.

 

This facility was built on a tight site to replace an existing grass pitch. To gain enough space to achieve FIFA  Accreditation, a concrete retaining wall was constructed along two sides of the pitch along with an access ramp for pedestrian and wheelchair access.

 

Along with this we carried out a comprehensive cut and fill to achieve the desired falls for the pitch surface.

 

We installed a 2.4m palisade fence system to boundary perimeters and a 2.4m sports mesh fence and spectator fence was installed to the sidelines.

 

A 9 meter high ball catch net was also installed along a boundary neighbouring properties. All fencing installed was hot dip galvanised and marine grade powder coated due to the proximity to the ocean.

 

For surfacing we installed a 60mm SIS Pitches Hybrid artificial grass on rubber shockpad which performs really well for player comfort and durability.

 

All civils works for a new LED lighting package have been installed and will be completed in late 2020.
