Opened in July 2020 we constructed a 6,000m2  all weather training facility for Ballincollig GAA.

 

Using a 60mm Hybrid Artificial Grass from SIS Pitches on a rubber shockpad the pitch was constructed with a 6 meter high perimeter fence, retractable junior and senior GAA goals.

 

We installed coloured dashed lines into the carpet so the pitch can be separated into 3 separate areas for juvenile training and can be used as a full playing pitch for U-12 matches and adult training sessions.

 

We installed a Musco LED lighting system with new supply generator which will supply the new sand based pitch under construction also.

Sand based pitch

During the summer of 2020 we constructed a new fully drained natural grass sand based pitch in Ballincollig Gaa.

 

Works included topsoil strip, laser grading of pitch, installation of electrical ducting and light bases for future lighting and the installation of a new irrigation system to serve the new development and an existing full size pitch including a new water storage tank on site.

 

Full primary and secondary drainage system was installed followed with a sand carpet and grow in for the new surface. Pitch will be handed back for use in the spring of 2021.
