St. Al's Secondary School

Handed over in April 2022, we constructed a new 2,100m2 all weather playing pitch, walkway and sensory garden for the staff and pupils of St. Al's Secondary School in the heart of Cork City. Working within the site boundaries we constructed a new all weather playing pitch with a shockpad and 3G surface with ball stop netting and hurling walls incorporated into the design.

Outside of this we installed a walkway to the perimeter of the pitch and a large open plan sensory garden and green space.

Bespoke crafted wishing well, benches and planters were made specifically for the project and installed to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere inside in the garden.

A detailed planting design was carried out to provide a garden which will grow and adapt with each season that passes.

This will be of huge benefit to both the physical health and mental health of all students in the school for many years to come.

A new green space was installed to surround the sensory garden and there was specific emphasis on promoting biodiversity throughout the whole project.
